Congratulations to Ethan Brotherton, Colton Hill, & Karter Hill who will be making their 1st Communion this Sunday at Immaculate Conception at the 9am Mass. A light reception will follow in the hall.

For Fr. David's 50th birthday, as a spiritual bouquet birthday gift for him, perhaps we could all pray a rosary or a chaplet for him for his intentions each day for the month of May. Thank you for your consideration!

Trinity Lutheran Church, 110 South Park, Manito, is having a delicious Pork Chop Meal Drive -Thru on Saturday, May 15th, serving from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or until we're sold out. Each meal will include a pork chop sandwich, a bag of chips, and cookies. Please plan to drive - thru and pick up lunch! If you need several meals please call: 309-657-554 that morning.

One of our parishioners has very graciously purchased multiple copies of a book as an Easter gift to our parishes. The name of the book is “I Heard God Laugh” by Matthew Kelly. Please take a copy for yourself and for others after Mass today and enjoy!!!

Congratulations to Alexis and Lauren Nall and Isabelle Bonney who received the Sacrament of Confirmation last Sunday! May the Lord keep them strong in faith and good works all the days of their lives!

The new Living Faith booklets are available in the narthex. They contain nice daily reflections for the next three months. They are free for the taking!

St. Mary’s parish is in need of more readers for the 4:30pm Mass on Saturdays. If you are interested please contact Fr. David. Thank you!

For health reasons please refrain from preparing food containing carbs and sugar for Fr. David. Thank you for all the love and support you show to him!

Remember when Fr. David turned 40? Well, on May 31st Fr. David is turning a half a century old!!! Not much has changed with Fr. David except, well… his hair. If you look in just the right light you can see some “shimmering” in his hair. To celebrate his silver highlights, our parishes will be throwing him a 50 th birthday party the day before his actual birthday on Sunday, May 30th which is also the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity. There will be two parts to the birthday celebration. Part one is the 3:00pm Holy Hour at Immaculate Conception Church in Manito. Part two will follow the Holy Hour in the Immaculate Conception parish hall. There will be a catered meal which will include of course birthday cake! After the meal, Fr. David would like everyone to pray the rosary together in the hall. Feel free to come to either Part one or Part two or both. More details to come 

The Sunday after Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday. Jesus told St. Faustina that on that day the floodgates of his mercy are wide open and whoever goes to confession, and receives communion in a state of grace (with no mortal sin on their soul) on Divine Mercy Sunday will receive full remission of all temporal punishment (purgatory time) that they have incurred up to that moment of receiving communion.

If you have been away from church, please consider returning to Mass during the Lent and Easter seasons. Many graces are awaiting you! 

Have you been missing holy water during the pandemic? There are bottles of blessed Easter water for you take after Mass today to use in your home or to use as you enter and leave the church. Don’t worry the sanitizer is still blessed too!

Flower arrangements will be purchased to decorate for Easter. If anyone would like to donate money towards the arrangements please let Fr. David know.

The Sunday after Easter Immaculate Conception will conduct an Easter Egg hunt for the children after the 9am Mass. Come and join the fun!!!
