Fr. David has been asked to serve as chaplain of the National Convocation of Consecrated Virgins in Mystic, CT and will be gone July 1-6. When he returns he will be going to visit family in Minnesota July 7-16. While he is gone please warmly welcome Fr. Ed Ohm on July 3-4 and a priest from the Community of St. John on July 10-11.
Normally Fr. David’s day off each week is on Monday. When Father returns from Minnesota, he is going to take an additional day off each week until Labor Day to rest and to work on personal projects. In addition to Monday he will also take off Tuesday each week. Therefore, there be no Mass on Tuesday evening in Manito and the Wednesday Morning Mass will be moved to 5:15pm. After Labor Day the weekday Mass schedule will return to normal. Thank you for your understanding.
The month of July is dedicated in a special way to devotion to the most Precious Blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus contains all the power God for us all. Jesus desires to pour out His Divine Power upon us in superabundance. We only have to ask. So let us pray frequently and with confidence: “Most Precious Blood of Jesus, have mercy on us!”
We have an overabundance of Mac & Cheese and canned veggies,
but we do need at this time: hygiene items, breakfast foods, canned meat, crackers and bottled water. If you would like to donate to Immaculate Conception’s Blessing box place your items in the plastic bin in the narthex. Thank you!
For health reasons please refrain from preparing food containing carbs and sugar for Fr. David. Thank you for all the love and support you show to him!
Flocknote is a parish program that enables Father David to send mass texts (announcements, reminders, parish schedule changes, inspirational thoughts) to all our parishioners at once. To sign up at no charge to you simply text the message “3Trinity” to this number: “84576”. Parishioners and Father find this helpful to keep up communication
The month of June is dedicated in a special way to devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The heart of Jesus is full of love and mercy for all of us. Jesus desires to pour out this love and mercy upon us in superabundance. We only have to ask. So let us pray frequently and with confidence:
“Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us!”
The Bishop is now allowing the Covid-19 restrictions to be gradually lifted at the discretion of each pastor. For the time being at our three parishes, the following are the updated changes/practices in the Covid-19 restrictions:
1. The obligation to come to Mass is still suspended until further notice.
2. Masks are optional
3. The pews on the right side of the church are for those who want to be socially distant.
4. The pews on the left side of the church are for those who are not socially distant.
5. Blessed hand sanitizer is still available, but so is holy water for those who desire to use it.
6. Continue to drop off your offering in the basket as you enter the church.
7. There will continue to be no sign of peace or precious blood distributed during Mass.
I wish to thank everyone who helped with and participated in my 50th birthday party! It was truly a wonderful and joyous occasion. It was so nice to spend time with family and friends from near and far. Thank you also for all of your cards, well wishes and kind gifts. May the Lord bless and reward all of you ~ Fr. David
