Each year October is the month of the rosary. Please consider praying the rosary each day during the month of October. You will grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus through Mary
Each year the Diocese of Peoria asks the faithful across the diocese to offer financial support in the form of pledges for the operational costs of the diocese. By now you should have received by mail your ADA pledge card and return envelope. If you have not received it, pick one up from the narthex and please make as generous a pledge as you can. Thank you!
Please mail it directly to the Peoria Diocese to:

The goal for the diocese this year is $6,300.00.

St. Mary’s parish would like to restore the flower beds in front of the church. We are looking for perennial flowers that would tolerate full sun and are drought resistant. We would like a variety of flowers that are less than 3 feet tall that will bloom throughout the season. Planting will be this fall before the frost. If anyone has flowers that would work you can contact Diane Intravartolo at 309-668-2364 or at [email protected].
Cursillo is a popular 3 day retreat to pray and learn more about living a Christian life. The next men’s weekend retreat is September 29 – October 2. The next women’s weekend retreat is October 27 – 30. Both are being held in our Diocesan Sacre Coeur Retreat Center near Henry, IL. Call 309-676-5587 to sign up. All are invited!
A big thank you from Fr. Nimorious for all your love & support while he was here! He has been running from meeting to meeting since he arrived in Ghana in hopes of accomplishing the work that so many of you contributed by supporting his Mission. Because of your bighearted gifts, $10,000.00 was raised to help the orphans, the students & seminarians, the need for a well and the new St. Andrew’s Catholic Church! Thank you!!
On Saturday, October 1st at 4:00pm Bishop Louis Tylka will be celebrating Mass for all those struggling with cancer or those who have been affected by cancer in some way. Special hymns will begin prior to Mass at 3:30pm. All are welcome.
All 3 parishes were so kind & generous to provide the Piarist Catholic School in Kentucky with a check for $1,700.00!! Be on the lookout for Christmas donation announcements coming in the fall bulletins. There have been many families in that area that have been affected by the recent floods. We appreciate your continued support!!
“The rosary is a flower garden that contains all kinds of beautiful and aromatic virtues. It is the strongest impulse of the human heart, and those who get hooked on it will improve their habits.”
