Thank you so much to all those who helped with and participated in the chicken noodle dinner! There were 335 dinners served in a very joyful and festive atmosphere. The SP Altar & Rosary Society brought in $4,500.00 after expenses!
It is that time of year again! Our goal is to give each of the 125 children in Appalachia a $40 gift card. Please be as generous as possible by placing a monetary donation in an envelope in the collection basket by Sunday, November 27th. All are welcome to join our local EWTN Greater Chicagoland Affiliate on Friday, November 18th at the Lincolnshire Marriott Resort in Lincolnshire, IL for their Eleventh Annual Fall Benefit and Auction Fundraiser. Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone will be the keynote speaker and Bishop Thomas Paprocki will be the Honored Guest. Chicago Bears Patrick McCaskey will be the Master of Ceremonies. This event is the primary fundraiser of the year in support of our local Catholic radio station, and critical to reaching up to 8 million people in the Greater Chicagoland, Wisconsin and Northern Indiana areas with Catholic teaching, events and local information. All are welcome to St. Patrick’s church hall in Havana to their annual Chicken Noodle dinner this Sunday, November 6th from 11:30am to 1:30pm. In addition to the delicious dinner, there will be a raffle drawing at 1:30pm and one silent auction item to bid on during the event. Don’t miss the food, fellowship and fun!!!
St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Havana is hosting a Harvest Supper on Thursday, November 10th at 4:00-7:00pm. They will be serving vegetable soup, chicken taco soup, brats, hotdogs, pasta salad, chips and desserts. The cost is a Free Will offering
Last year in November and December Emmanuel’s Warehouse distributed 255 food baskets serving 598 individuals. On Saturday, November 19th at 9:00am to 3:00pm there will be a Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibition at the Spalding Pastoral Center in Peoria (419 N.E. Madison Ave.). The exhibition contains over 130 Vatican approved Eucharistic miracles. At 11:00am Fr. Luke Spannagel will give a talk entitled: “Jesus in the Eucharist: How Miracles Can Support Our Faith.” All are welcome.
November 1st is the Solemnity of All Saints and is a Holy Day of Obligation. This means that everyone is required to go to Mass. Mass times are:

Tuesday, November 1st: Noon at St. Mary’s
Tuesday, November 1st: 5:30pm at Immaculate Conception
November 2nd is a special day that we gather to pray for all of our deceased loved ones. Please come and pray at the All Souls Day Mass at 5:15pm in Manito
November is the month in which we pray for our deceased loved ones and all the souls in Purgatory in a special way. Please include the names of your loved ones in the Book of the Deceased located in each of our parish churches and pray in a special and intentional way for all those whose names are inscribed therein all month.
More Mass intentions are needed for both Immaculate Conception and St. Patrick parishes. Please consider having Masses said for your loved ones (living or deceased) or for any special intentions of yours. Envelopes are in the narthex. Thank you.
